:: Vintage handmade African tuareg rug mat. Circa 1980s, this handwoven rug mat is full of character and charm. Believed to be made by the Tuareg people in/around Niger. When making, the weavers would often merge multiple pieces of straw together by inserting one into another to create a piece long enough to weave. Sold in as found vintage handmade condition. In some cases flushing clean water through the mat may be needed in order to clean it, though please note that doing so makes all sales final. Sizes vary in some cases from end to end and side to side. Measurements exclude warps/tassels. Size measures: 1'4" x 2'3".
